Family-Owned Since 1951

On Time Couriers essentially created the concept of local delivery service in Dallas/Ft. Worth. In 1951, while working as a local cab driver, William E. Gumm was dispatched to pick up flowers from a florist and deliver them to Baylor Hospital. He immediately saw an opportunity to capitalize on an untapped market ... fast, reliable, and courteous delivery service to the Dallas area.

Mr. Gumm's business originated out of his garage in Oak Cliff, and eventually moved to a downtown office in 1954. By the late 1980's, his grandson took the knowledge that Mr. Gumm had taught him and began what is now known as the fastest courier service in Dallas, On Time Couriers.

To date, On Time is still operated by three of William E. Gumm's grandsons, along with several other extended members of the Gumm family.

Our Success Continues Today

Today, the Dallas Business Journal ranks us as one of the top five local courier services in Dallas and Fort Worth, plus we now provide the same On Time 24/7 service in the Houston, Austin and San Antonio markets.

In the year 2000, one of On Time’s dedicated team players saw the opportunity surrounding process service. Going out on a limb, he researched and absorbed all the knowledge that he could on his own in order to add another department to the company. By the end of 2001, he had trained a number of employees and had successfully implemented our new department known as On Time Process.
